MOVES TO WASHINGTON, DC |
AR&C
has Moved!!!!
Now based in Bethesda, MD, on the outskirts of Washington, DC. Currently
working with Hearst-Argyle TV and WTTG FOX 5, the local FOX affiliate
providing both national and local news coverage.
So far the trip has
been well worth it and is working out well.
"I'm hopeful
that this move will provided new experiences and opportunities, opening
a new avenue for the company to provide services in the DC area and around
the country."
- Austin Reeves
Credentialing is
sometimes a difficult process in Washington. That coupled with rules established
post-9/11 on where, who, and how you can shoot that are unparalleled anywhere
in the country can make it a difficult place for out of town crews to
get work done. We hope to help alleviate that pain. AR&C is currently
credentialed to shoot at the Capitol Building and at all Senate &
House buildings within established rules and guidelines. We are also investigating
other credentialing for various areas so that we can meet any clients
needs on a spontaneous basis without the time delays normally associated
with the credentialing process at the various locations around DC.
The new website is
up and running. Hopefully it will be much more functional for our clients
and clients-to be. Not only does the site load faster than the previous
one, but looks a lot better and is easier to maintain. With the addition
of server space we will now be adding much more media to the site for
review.
Currently there are
video clips for news stories online. However, we will be adding many more
video clips including post-FX and clips from EFP productions to the list.
This is one of our target areas for expansion, so look for that section
to grow rapidly.
There are several
ideas we have to use the new resources on our website and will be
implementing those as we go. Any suggestions however on what you’d
like to see we are glad to accept. Keep tuned to the website as it grows
& evolves.
AR&C recently
built a laptop based AVID edit system. The system allows for non-linear
editing and graphics work from ANYWHERE. Complete with 14 hours of media
storage, this system is already proving invaluable to AR&C and our
clients.
Laptop Specs:
3.4gHz Pentium
4 w/ HT
2gig RAM
17” Widescreen True-View Screen
800mHz Front Side Bus
256MB ATI X600 Graphics Card
60GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
200GB Firewire Media Drive
Dual-Layer DVD Burner
Integrated Bluetooth & WiFi 802.11g
6 in 1 Media Card Reader
The system, besides
editing one 60min project already, has proven invaluable in the field.
At one of our recent shoots the system was used to edit logo graphics
on set at a sound stage and then used to project them to multiple plasma
monitors for the set when the system that was to originally do the job
wasn’t functioning properly.
NASA
CREDENTIALING – RETURN TO FLIGHT
|
Credentialing was
approved for NASA’s return to flight and AR&C will be there
for the event. This promises to be one of the largest media coverage events
in history with around 5,000 media expected on-site at the Kennedy Space
Center Launch Facility in Florida. Anyone needing media coverage pre &
post-launch contact us for available openings and logistics.
